Helping Healthcare Professionals Learn about Revenue Enhancers

This week, Databound Healthcare Solutions is proud to be at the TribalNet conference in San Diego, California, where we participated in a presentation of “Tools for Missed Billing Opportunities and Revenue Enhancers.” This educational session reviewed technology tools that are available to help healthcare professionals collect money for American Indian and Alaska Native health care facilities who are constantly looking for additional funds to help with key initiatives to prevent illness such as heart disease or diabetes. These programs can significantly close the gap on health disparities that are unfortunately so much a part of the Native American experience.

Funding challenges over the years have resulted in a staggering lack of health equity between the AI/AN community and overall U.S. population. Even though IHS contributes more than 4.6 billion dollars annually, this contribution only covers 60% of the healthcare needs of eligible AI/AN patients.
At Databound, we have helped AI/AN healthcare facilities collect millions in unclaimed reimbursements by cross-referencing third-party coverage information and providing claim information on encounters that would otherwise be unpaid. One customer is funding 50% of its healthcare system from the aggressive billing of third-party insurers. Another has recovered millions of dollars in unclaimed revenue that partially funds a vitally important project to help people free themselves of addiction and substance abuse.
